Dress Rehearsal

Ella had her first dress rehearsal.  We have been talking a lot about it trying to get ready for the big recital.  She was SO excited...me too!  We had t-ball practice and a game all at the same time, so Brian had to miss the rehearsal.  He was pretty bummed but we figure a crazy schedule of events is just beginning...
 Ella, Selah, and Millie
*getting ready to go on stage
 Let's just say...
SHE LOVED IT!
 Preslee was pretty adorable too!
They had a great time watching all the other dancers together.
This is from her ballet dance.
I was so proud of her!
She knew all her dances and was quite the little performer.

Basketball Camp

Haynes and some friends went to basketball camp for 3 days.  Haynes just absolutely LOVES playing basketball so he had a great time!
 Look at him jumping....
I just LOVE this picture...

Summer fun...

Lolli and the kids planted a garden at her house this summer and the kids are so excited that they are actually getting to eat things from it!  Here's one of the first carrots...Haynes FAVORITES!!
This sweet girl is getting bigger all the time!

Mother's Day Tea Parties

I was honored to be invited to three Mother's day tea parties in ONE week!  The are so many fun parts about these sweet parties.  I let the kids pick out my clothes for the parties and then offer to take them on a lunch date afterwards...they all chose to go on a date with me instead of staying and playing with friends...WOW!
The kindie tea party is a tear jerker thinking about how many years we have done this!  Then his sweet teacher puts together a video from the whole year...oh dear!!  Port chose for me to wear a HOT PINK dress and heels.  Then he chose Cafe Plaid for our date...pretty good date huh?!?  It's so fun getting one-on-one time with him now that he is getting older, our conversations are the sweetest thing in the world.  I love being your Mommy!
This sweet kiddo is always making me laugh.  He wanted me to wear blue and heels...I wasn't surprised by the blue at all:-)  We did have a little issue about him dressing nice...surprise, surprise, surprise!  I finally told him that his teachers asked mommy's to dress nice because ALL the kids would be dressed nice.  If he didn't want to dress nice I could come dressed in my pj's too:-)  He dressed in his shorts and button shirt but lost the button shirt the MOMENT they were finished singing.  He chose Pickleman's for his lunch of choice.  I love you sweet kid!
Ella chose the most casual of outfits...slightly surprising.  She chose a dress from target and flip flops.  I was quite excited to see her perform all her songs because I thought she would LOVE it.  It was a pretty rowdy performance and I learned that she is A LOT like her daddy and is a people watcher.  Maybe she'll perform a little more next year:-)  She chose for us to eat at Bagel Cafe, I had a pretty great week of dates!  I love being your Mommy Ella Rose!

Memorial Day

We got to spend the weekend at the lake with all our family!  It was such an amazing weekend no one wanted to go home.  The weather was great and time with family is always fun!!  In fact maybe too much fun, since these are the only pictures I have to show for it!!!

This beautiful girl enjoyed her first visit to the dock too!

Last day of Dance!!!

We have loved every single minute of dance this year.  These sweet girls are such great buddies, which makes it even more fun.  I get to spend an hour each week with my sweet friend!  So thankful Ella has loved dance more than I would have ever imagined:-)

Summer 2012

Since everyone ended school on different days this year, I decided that we should celebrate the 1st day of summer!  The kids woke up to a fun banner, a few dollar store treasures, and a morning of mickey mouse cartoons:-)  We are taking captive every moment of our summer...I don't think kids have been in bed anywhere before 10 yet?!?

Love this girl!

She just gets more beautiful every single day!
Thankful for all the things God is doing in her as she grows to be a mighty woman of God.
We were at my parents and Ella came out to swim dressed like this...
She loves this silly stocking cap, but thought it was the perfect swim cap.  I think I bought it for her when she was 1!  The swimsuit is a little tight, but man she looks beautiful in red!!

Play date with Shep

Shep got to come home with us on the last day of school!
We grabbed City Bites (port's favorite) and headed to Lolli's for a pool party!
Swimming and bubbles are always a must!
We ended a perfect afternoon with a snow cone!
Such a fun day of celebrating!!

Last day of Kindergarten

We took Port to breakfast at Ozzie's to celebrate his big day!  I love this picture because we were trying to take a picture of Brian and Port but Ella kept sneaking in...
Last day of school at Gingerbread means "Beach Day!"  That means a day of slip & slide, water guns, water balloons, and more fun!  He wanted Lolli to come and me to come without extra kids, so Abbey watched everyone else for me.  It was so fun to celebrate this kid!
Water balloons are one of our summer favorites right now!
At the end of the beach party all the classes come sit on the deck and sing all the songs they've done all year.  It's so fun watching the babies up to kindies sing and be silly together...if it doesn't make you tear up I'm not sure what will!!
 Teacher Nancy
Where do we even begin on how much we love this lady!  She is a gifted teacher and mostly gifted at loving kids EXTRAVAGANTLY!  We will miss her so much next year, but so thankful we have some other kiddos that will go through her class!
 Teacher Alicia
We are so thankful for her too!
Port has been so blessed by his amazing teachers that have helped shaped him this year.
 Teacher Erin
When I asked Port what he would miss most about her he said, "she always makes me laugh!"
 Teacher Karen
Teacher Karen started Gingerbread and the kindies get to have her come lead singing once a week.  It was always one of Port's favorite things about being a Kindie.  She lives right across the street from Gingerbread!
My sweet baby is growing up before my eyes!
FIRST GRADE HERE WE COME!!!

Summer of baseball

We are at the baseball fields a lot this summer, but not near as much as our cousins.  The fun thing is we get to watch everyone play!  Ella has loved playing with these girls and Halle looks like she is enjoying it too, huh?!?
Harper has been here for about two months and we were commenting that I don't think Ella will remember life without her...they are the sweetest friends!
I'm learning new things around here all the time too...like how to keep score of a baseball game:-)
This kid hit his first home run!
Home run means ice cream in our family!

Last Day of School

We had a last day of school celebration for Haynes and Ella.  Beau got to come home with us and unfortunately Millie got sick so she didn't get to make it.  We had treats and swimming to celebrate the beginning of summer!!

Halle's PT

Judi took Halle to physical therapy a few weeks ago and took this sweet picture.  This was Halle's first time on the treadmill with our sweet friend Kyle working hard in front of her.  We are so proud of the hard work our sweet girl is doing!

Always an adventure

We decided to have a family dinner on Interurban's back patio.  As we were walking to the patio I told the boys my favorite thing in the world is eating outside.  Port said, "I thought Jesus was your favorite thing?"

While we were eating dinner the boys got a little restless so Brian let them climb over the rails and explore the damaged tree area from the tornado.  After Brian ate he went to check things out as well...I love how my husband makes everything an adventure for us!

Pool with friends

After the t-ball game we headed to Lolli and Champs for a day at the pool.  Halle Beth just LOVES the water, and we love her cute pigtails!
Port and Lainey created a treasure hunt for the other kids.  I love this picture because they had VERY strict rules that you had to follow:-)
Lolli graciously allowed them to dig a hole for the treasure and she supplied a treasure as well...needless to say it was quite a hit!

Leopard Cheetahs

Haynes and Crew have been talking about their t-ball team the Leopard Cheetahs for a few weeks.  They finally had their first game, they have a sweet team with a lot of their buddies on it.  Haynes was MORE than disappointed that the Y doesn't actually go by the standard t-ball rules like Port's team does....in fact he was down right mad:-)  For example...
He couldn't understand when he tagged the kid out why he wasn't "OUT."
When he hit a ball in the outfield, he couldn't understand why they wouldn't let him go for a home run.
All that to say...he is LOVING t-ball but really ready for the next league.

Kindie Buddies

Dax got to miss the last week of school while he was in Disney World with his family.  We kinda decided to celebrate the end of school for about two weeks so we could celebrate with Dax:-)  These boys are best buddies and we'll definitely miss going to school with Shep next year.
I can't believe they are already done with Kindergarten!!

Fishing trip

My dad went to Ella's fishing trip with her...she was SO excited.  Before she left that morning she said, "I'm going to catch some fish, but Champ will touch them..."  They actually went crawdad fishing so she didn't catch a fish but they caught a TON of crawdads.

Tinsley Joy

My cousin Amy had her first little girl a few weeks ago.  It has been so fun to watch her walk through this pregnancy and all the ways God has shown up for her.  At Easter her baby was flipped and after a week of praying and standing on her head the sweet girl flipped to head down.  Then her blood pressure was high and they though she would have to have a c-section.  Again we prayed and she got to have her sweet girl completely naturally.  The topper was they didn't find out what they were having, so we are so excited to welcome another girl to the Wright family!

Treasure Hunt

We took some family pictures the other night with the sweet Shannon Ho.  My kids LOVE her fun treasure box at the end of the night.  Unfortunately her treasure box was lost when they moved a few months ago.  She decided to make the kids a surprise treasure hunt a few days later.  This is all the kids with their individual prizes...everyone loved them!  Even Halle got some little cheerios:-)
Thanks Shannon for loving my kiddos!

Cousins

Jamie came and brought the girls to Norman for a few days.  My kids all loved getting some time with the girls. I can't wait to watch these girls grow up together!

Foundation

A few weeks ago I was spending time with the Lord and felt like He told me to read Matthew 7.  I felt so encouraged by the Lord and what He was speaking to me personally.  That afternoon I took Haynes up to look at our house and we were watching the cement trucks pouring.  Haynes asked what they were doing and I said, "They are pouring our FOUNDATION!"  I felt so loved by the Lord that what He does in the physical realm he does in the natural realm too!

"Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.  Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won't collapse because it is built on bedrock.  But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn't obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand.  When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash..."
Matthew 7:24-29

We took all the kids up to put their fingerprints in the cement.  The workers asked if I was the babysitter:-)  We had to wake Halle up from her nap and run her down to get her hand in before it got too hard....Fun memories!!

Port Robert

Every year we take a picture of Port by his sign...and he LOVES it:-)
I can't believe he's going to be 7!!!
