Just another Sunday...

check out this black eye...it's progressively gotten worse
(nothing compares to Millie's though)
Just thought this was too cute, he's trying to show you his eye
Making pancakes with Daddy

Sunday we had Celebration which means we meet with all the house churches in our community at CrossePointe Church. We loved getting to have a day at home, but it was quite a day! Ella had been sick Saturday night, so Sunday she had a fever all day. Haynes ran into a table and got a huge black eye. Port had to go to the ER for an ear infection, then smashed his fingers at Celebration. Just another day around here! :-)

Hot Tub in the Winter

One of our favorite things to do right now is get in the hot tub! It's so cold outside, but it's so fun to be in the HOT water. Brian will get in with the boys usually once a week and they think it's one of the greatest things! I don't really know what they do out there, because I am always told girls aren't allowed. I do know they get the largest bowl I have and fill it with ice...I can only imagine what happens next. My boys LOVE daddy time and he is the best at coming up with great things to do with his boys! Love you Bri!

Norman Christmas Parade

Ella bundled up...not pleased with missing her nap:-)
Brooke, Asher, and Alex
Port and Lolli
Champ and the kids

We have been going to the Christmas Parade for the last few years. The funny thing is we used to live a block off Main Street and never knew what it was or attended...but now we have kids:-) It's a really fun thing that we love doing each year. This year my sweet friend Allison created a float for their restaurant Interurban. We couldn't keep our sleepy girl content long enough to see their float, but we had a great time while it lasted!

Decorating the Tree...again!

Brian and Josh always have to put the lights on the tree. Not because they are good at it, but just because...In fact I think Brian said, "I can't wait until you boys are old enough to do this..." I think Jenny and I decided that it looked about the same!
Lolli has presents under the tree! Haynes does not understand why he can't open it, so he carried it around all night asking if it was time yet...no we don't have any wrapped presents under our tree for that reason!
My family always gets together to decorate our "REAL" tree with all the ornaments we have acquired through out the years. Now the grandkids pick out the tree, and then we all get new ornaments to add to our collection each year. It's always fun to find all the random things that we were into...Marvin the Martian (me), hand making fleece hoodies for everyone in the family (josh), airplane for flying lessons (dad), real estate sign (mom). Then there's the ones we love...my crystal ballerina (that her whole skirt finally broke of this year), josh's paper balls (my mom finally threw them away because he just likes to throw them at the tree)
Making memories...love it!

Made a memory!

I must say the picture does not do this justice...
My mom went to Paris last spring and took a cooking class with her best friend from high school The other night our family was having dinner and she decided to make the dessert from Paris...chocolate volcano with banana-avocado sauce. We made a memory as my mom would say, because the cake didn't cook and the banana sauce was REALLY banana:-) My mom is an amazing cook, but this just wasn't her night, I recommend something from her website instead. Oh well, guess you'll have to go back to Paris for some more cooking classes!

Babysitting Asher

*the picture is awful, but that's all I got:-)
Brooke let us watch Asher last week while she had lunch with some girls. Port was at school so Haynes and Ella were his entertainment. Haynes was hilarious, as usual, he saw that Asher had a hat on and ran and found one immediately! Then Haynes and Ella proceeded to pull out every toy imaginable to entertain him with. When Brooke came to pick him up, I told her he might have been more stimulated in my 1.5 hours of babysitting than his whole life!
We sure do LOVE Asher! He is always full of joy and sweet smiles!

December 1st!

December 1st
We get the kids matching pj's and decorate our tree together.
We also get the kids a new ornament, but this year we did it a little different. We asked the Lord what would symbolize who they are in this season.
As we decorate the tree we watch the Polar Express.
It is such a fun night!!

Look at these cute kids!

Port with his Christmas ornament.
Haynes in his new pj's and showing off his ornament.

Check out my cute husband!

Ella Rose
I always get everyone's pj's and in the past Brian has forgotten about our December 1st celebration...oops! This year he did awesome, aren't my pj's cute!

The boys LOVED decorating the tree!
I looked over multiple times to see Haynes climbing ANYTHING
to get his ornaments to the top. Ella actually just liked pulling them off the tree:-)

Watching Polar Express and eating cookies...best family night!!
