I LOVE the lake! There really seems to be nothing better than getting away with my sweet family to the lake. I have recently gone up a day before retreats to spend a day with the kids getting ready, it is so fun! I feel abundantly blessed by my Bob and Judi for such an amazing opportunity! We took about 25 people to the lake a few weeks ago for a house church retreat. We knew that God had some amazing things planned for these students, but that doesn't even begin to explain our weekend. We had such a great time laughing, eating, worshipping, dancing, playing games, enjoying the beautiful weather and don't forget the life changing encounters and healings that we saw! There was scoliosis, lactose intolerance, and allergies healed just to start!!! Isn't God so good!?!
My kids had the best time, which makes the weekend even better. Ella spent the weekend being loved on by everyone and playing with her best friend Asher (which she says SO clearly). Haynes and Port were in heaven from the moment we got there! It was so fun just letting them explore with some freedom. Needless to say I didn't get as much preparation done on Friday as I had planned, but the weather was amazing and the kids had to play! Port has a new buddy named Clint...or "Quince" as he pronounces it! Clint is amazing at letting Port follow wherever he leads, we feel so blessed to have amazing role models for our kids. Haynes was full of funny stories as you would expect...here's just a few! Haynes tried deer poop, after smearing it all over his face and spitting it out he announced that it was gross! He also decided to jump from the brick wall onto Clint's back, without letting Clint know. Haynes slammed into his back and bit 4 holes through his tongue. After drinking a little bloody water, decided he was fine and ready to play!
