We've been talking about giving in House Church for the last few weeks. Our LTx class has had AMAZING breakthrough in outreach this month through some spontaneous giving. We decided to use some of our missional money this month to bless people. We gave everyone at house church $10 and told them to ask the Lord what He wanted to do with it. We all met for lunch and got to hear some amazing stories!
We gave each of the boys $10 too. Port felt like we were suppose to go to the mall and Haynes was looking for a boy with a green shirt and jeans on. We found a guy working at the hat booth in the mall, Bryce. Haynes went and handed Bryce $10 and said that the Lord had given him a picture of Bryce and God wanted to bless him. Haynes then proceeded to tell him that Jesus loves him and would love to pray for him. The guy was super sweet and told Haynes that they were raising money for "Caps for Kids" that day and he was going to give the money to that fund. ("Caps for Kids" is an organization that provides hats for kids that have cancer) Bryce's boss was super touched and told him to give Haynes a hat. Haynes prayed for Bryce and walked away with a new Toy Story hat. It was such a sweet encounter and Haynes is beyond proud of his new hat:-)
